I see children (1-17) for one-time assessments to determine if they have an Autism Spectrum Disorder or not. Children MUST BE referred to me by the child's Family Doctor, Paediatrician, or Nurse Practitioner.  You cannot self-refer. I do not accept referrals from the ER.

All patients aged 10 and under MUST be seen in-person (in London). Patients 11-17 can sometimes be seen via videoconference.  Contact my office for more information on when videoconference assessments are a feasible option.

 

There is an intake questionnaire that MUST be completed by the parents/caregivers and an additional one that must be completed by all patients ages 13-17. Appointments cannot be scheduled until after I have received the physician's referral AND the completed intake questionnaire(s). I will contact you via e-mail to schedule the assessment within 7 days of receiving all of the required paperwork.

The current wait time to be seen is ~10 months from the time I receive the referral + intake questionnaire(s).

After the assessment, I will send a report to the referring MD/NP.  It takes about 3 weeks to be typed up and sent. Follow-up will be with them. I do not see patients for  follow-up, for any reason.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
